OUR STORY
*********************
Share our dream - 1960, 175 miles from Schefferville - After many trips on “the George”, Phil Larivière, an old bush pilot, discovers one of the most beautiful places in the north. The game abundance and the charm of the territory are such that he decides to build an outfitter lodge called “Wedge Hills”. First for salmon and trouts fishing, he extends the activities to caribou hunting when opening to general public in 1965. 1972, a renewed spirit - “I, Albert Fortier, took possession of Wedge Hills. Back then, I was holding, since 1958, the 1st provider licence granted to the Schefferville area. Plane pilot, when I flew over the George River and that I discovered the site for the first time, it was love at first sight. Then, I started camps construction and equipment improvement. Since then, year after year, hunting, fishing and adventure fans are coming here to live an unforgettable experiment there.” Today, still our best - Our camps, our dining room and our facilities always improve, we continue to offer you an amazing comfort for such a distant area, and our huntings and our fishings are still as incredible as it gets. Also, to accomodate our customers, we now have a landing strip for aircraft with a length of 2250 ' X 100 '.
